Project Three - Mock Brand Identity

Runway North is a fictional clothing brand created to explore the intersection of two worlds that rarely meet: aviation and surf culture.

Runway North is a conceptual lifestyle brand that explores the intersection of aviation, surf culture and adventure. Inspired by my experiences as a pilot and a love for the Australian coastline, the project imagines a brand for people who are constantly chasing the next horizon—whether that's by air, land or sea. Through a cohesive visual identity, apparel designs and branded marketing assets, the project aims to capture a sense of freedom, exploration and connection with the outdoors.

The objective of this project was to create a complete brand identity that extended beyond a logo, demonstrating how a strong visual system can be applied consistently across multiple touch points. Beginning with brand strategy and a carefully considered moodboard, I developed a visual identity inspired by vintage aviation, coastal landscapes and minimalist outdoor lifestyle brands. This foundation informed the creation of logo marks, colour palettes, typography, apparel graphics and supporting brand assets that work together to communicate a cohesive and recognisable identity.

The final outcome showcases a fully realised brand through hoodie mock-ups, branded merchandise and visual applications that demonstrate how the identity functions in real-world contexts.

Throughout the process, I focused on balancing clean, timeless design with storytelling, ensuring every design decision reflected the brand's adventurous spirit. This project strengthened my understanding of brand strategy, identity systems and visual consistency, while reinforcing the importance of creating designs that are both aesthetically engaging and purpose-driven.
